Eugenia M. Tobin, daughter of Alfred and Mary Tobin. Born near Washington, D. C. in Virginia, March 3, 1835 [Gravestone

indicates 1836]. She came with her parents in her very early childhood and settled in Bloomington, Macon County, MIssouri.

Her mother rode a horse and carried her almost the entire distance from Virginia to Missouri. She grew to womanhood at

[unable to read] and married George C. Parker, November 29, 1853 [marriage records  and obituary for George PARKER

indicate 23 November 1853], to which union was born 14 children, 8 boys and 6 girls which all grew to manhood and

womanhood and all married but one. There are more than 40 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

There are four who have preceded her in death.

Mrs. Ida Turner, Shelbina, [Shelby County] Missouri;

Alonzo Parker, Ephraim, [Sanpete County] Utah;

Mrs. Julia E. Veateh, Kiowa [Barber County] Kansas;

Web [Webster] Parker of Kiowa [Barber County] Kansas.

There are also living:

L. A. [Lewis Alfred] Parker, Carbon, [unable to read]  [Pittsburgh County] [or Carmen, Alfalfa County] Oklahoma;

Sam P. [Samuel J. PARKER], Marceline, [Chariton and Linn Counties] Missouri;

William C. P. [William Carson PARKER], Hannibal, [Marion and Ralls counties] Missouri;

Mrs. Bell Selyers, Macon, [Macon County] Missouri;

Mrs. Minnie Hensley, Blandinsville, [McDonough County] Illinois;

Mrs. Almada King, Coldwater, [Comanche County] Kansas;

Ernest Parker; Lookout, [Woods County] Oklahoma;

Mrs. Sudie Tucker, Buffalo, [Harper County] Oklahoma;

Roy C. Parker, [unable to read] Kansas;

Arthur D. Parker, Kiowa [Barber County] Kansas;

also a brother, Albert [Alfred] Tobin of Salt Lake City, Utah and a sister, Mrs. Mellissa Tobin Powell of Macon, [Macon County],

Missouri, deceased.

The family moved from Missouri to Kansas in April 1886 and settled in Comanche County, Kansas, near Evansville where they

resided until the Cherokee Strip opened in 1893 [Oklahoma] when they took land there near the present post office of White

Horse, Woods County [Oklahoma]. Later they moved near Kiowa, Kansas and again in Kiowa where her husband, Geo. C.

Parker died on April 13, 1912 [Obituary indicates 1911.]. She remained in Kiowa for several years, living with her son Alonzo;

later she lived with her daughter, Mrs. King. In her last years, she was cared for [...]

Bloomington, Macon County, Missouri on account of her father's ill health. He and his wife moved to Missouri.  He and she

rode horseback the entire distance from Alexandria, Virginia to Bloomington, Missouri.
