As an expert in Hancock County, ILLINOIS genealogy, Marcia C. Farina may not be a PARKER, but she is a kindred spirit,

documenting our PARKERS who live in and passed through Hancock County.

"I'm not a blood relation, but I don't think you'll find anyone more familiar with the Parkers who lived in this area of Hancock

County.  I have a special fondness for the Charles Washington Parker family because they provided home and hearth to

complete stangers, my third great-grandparents, when my grandparents first arrived in Hancock County... From the mid 1860s

on, my paternal blood relatives were elbow to elbow, friends and neighbors with the any and all of the local Parkers, many of

whom are buried at one of the cemeteries I'm documenting.  There were also at least a couple marriages of my mom's

relatives to Parkers." email from Marcia C. Farina, May 23, 2009
