Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence and the Family of Mr. Olan Hannah,

Good morning. I just wanted to let you know the package with Mr. Hannah's

uniform and collection arrived safely at the museum. We were utterly

speechless as we carefully opened the box. It is just an amazing uniform.

The panoramic picture is in great shape. Most are usually dry-rotted and

cracking. We will have this one framed with archival glass and protection,

once we get our funding straight. Great job on the packing, too.

I will work on the donation form and get that out to you this week. One will

be for your records. Please send the other one back in the stamped envelope

that will be enclosed. I will label everything for you.

Please pass along our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all of the

family. I know decisions like this can be tough. Again, thank you. We have

already begun working ideas for the 100th Anniversary of the Division, and

someone suggested this morning to plan to use Mr. Hannah's uniform in an

exhibit during 2017. A good idea I will keep in mind.

I know you had a couple of questions about the uniform and the markings. I

will send you another email soon discussing everything we find. I did notice

the uniform he is wearing in the panoramic picture is different from the

actual one. Please let me know if you have any other questions, or we can be

of assistance.

Very respectfully,

Jimmie Hallis
